Spedito vs Mailchimp: which costs less in 2026?

The short answer

Spedito costs much less than Mailchimp at every list size. With 2,500 contacts Mailchimp Essentials costs $45 a month and Spedito €9; with 10,000 contacts it’s $110 against €25. Mailchimp is still a good choice if you need hundreds of ready-made integrations or already use other products from Intuit, which owns it.

Why choose Spedito over Mailchimp

  • With 5,000 contacts you spend €15 a month instead of $75: you save about €622 a year.

  • You need hundreds of ready-made integrations, including niche tools.
  • You already use QuickBooks or other Intuit products.
  • You want lots of reports and analytics, even at the cost of a busier interface.

Guide to importing contacts

Frequently asked questions

Is Spedito cheaper than Mailchimp?

Yes. With 2,500 contacts you pay €9 a month instead of $45 (Mailchimp Essentials); with 10,000 contacts €25 instead of $110. On top of that, Spedito counts only subscribed contacts.

Is Mailchimp’s free plan better than Spedito’s?

No, Spedito’s is bigger: Mailchimp’s free plan covers 250 contacts and 500 emails a month, Spedito’s 500 contacts and 3,000 emails a month. On top of that, Mailchimp’s free plan doesn’t let you schedule emails or use automations, and adds its branding; Spedito’s free plan does both, without branding.

Can I import my contacts from Mailchimp?

Yes. Export your list from Mailchimp as CSV or Excel and drop it into Spedito: columns are recognised automatically, duplicates are merged and people who had unsubscribed never get emails. A list of a few thousand contacts takes a few minutes.

Where is my data stored with Spedito?

In the European Union. For every contact Spedito keeps where they came from and when they gave consent, and every email has an unsubscribe link in the reader’s language. The data processing agreement (DPA) applies to every customer.
